Scholarship

Heather’s love of children and learning was evident through her commitment to education and her students. As a lasting legacy to her memory, the foundation will provide college scholarships to students that demonstrate outstanding character, commitment and compassion for others.

2011 Scholarships Awarded:

For the 2010-2011 school year at McKeel Academy, our foundation presented  a $500.00 scholarship  to a senior girl and a $500.00 scholarship to a senior boy  who were on a list of students who participated in track. They were required to write an essay on the three “C”s : Character, Commitment and Compassion.

Derik Lower and Taylor Collins were awarded this year’s scholarship in a graduation ceremony on May 31, 2011 .
